DEICIDE: New Video Interview With JACK OWEN Available

October 23, 2007

A new video interview with DEICIDE/ex-CANNIBAL CORPSE guitarist Jack Owen conducted on October 16, 2007 in Bucharest, Romania (where Owen was on tour with ESTUARY) has been posted at Metalhead.ro.

DEICIDE recently began recording its ninth studio album at Florida's Morrisound Studios. Entitled "Till Death Do Us Part", the follow-up to 2006's "The Stench of Redemption" promises to be DEICIDE's "most savage and aggressive [offering] to date," according to a press release.

Commented drummer Steve Asheim: "The songs will have a very evil and chaotic nature to them and will include the extensive arrangements and riffage that made 'Stench...' so great. "There's no mistaking... it's DEICIDE. It feels like a cross between 'Stench...' and 'Legion', and is definitely the next logical step for DEICIDE."

Once the music is down, the final stage will be for Glen Benton to contribute his unique vocal approach, with recordings scheduled for completion as early as November. "Till Death Us Do Part" is expected to be released early 2008.

"We keep pushing what we do," concluded Asheim. "The guitars are even more sinister...the drums even more brutal. DEICIDE fans may be shocked at how fast this came around, but they're going to eat it up."

"The Stench of Redemption" was released in August 2006 via Earache Records. The follow-up to 2004's "Scars of the Crucifix" was recorded at Morrisound in Tampa, Florida and marked the first DEICIDE recording following the departure of the Hoffman brothers.

DEICIDE released a DVD, "Doomsday L.A.", on February 6, 2007 via Earache. The set, which was filmed using multiple cameras on November 10, 2006 at the Knitting Factory in Los Angeles, features the group's most recent lineup of Glen Benton (bass, vocals),Steve Asheim (drums),Jack Owen (guitar; ex-CANNIBAL CORPSE) and Santolla. The bonus material incorporates exclusive interviews and promo videos, including the recent "Homage for Satan" clip.
